Series A Announcement
Mar 12, 2026

We win when our customers win.
Our $26M Series A accelerates this for everyone.
Thanks to the success of our customers, BackOps is growing!
BackOps just raised a $26M Series A funding round. We’re happy to partner with Theory Ventures as the lead investor, joined by Gradient, Construct Capital, and 10VC.
The car parts in your vehicle, the groceries in your fridge, the prescription waiting at your pharmacy — every one of them survived a logistics chain most people never think about. Behind each delivery is a web of carriers, warehouses, claims, and exceptions that logistics teams battle every single day, chasing orders, filing claims, and hoping nothing falls through the cracks.
Our path for a better supply chain starts with our product vision: AI that ensures the supply chain is truly linked together.
We have a vision to make logistics more connected, reliable, and faster, from end-to-end. Unless you’ve worked in the supply chain, it’s mind-boggling to comprehend how complex it is and how many players are involved. Each phase is not just a couple of steps, it’s 40-60 steps. BackOps connects every vendor, every supplier. Every phase in the supply chain. Every software tool. Every employee. Everything is linked. The supply chain is unbroken.
The heart of BackOps all starts with a point of communication – like a phone call, email, Slack, text – and our AI kicks into motion. It can instantly understand the context, customer, urgency, and contract terms to map the right actions: notifications, filing claims, updating cost trackers, shipping parameters, delivery requirements, and more. BackOps instantly builds and deploys these hyper-complex decision matrixes. Your team gains more time and headspace to deliver excellent customer service. This is just the starting point for how we’re raising the bar for what companies can expect along their entire supply chain.
We already have two core products, with an exciting roadmap to support even more parts of the supply chain.
BackOps’ first product solutions start with the end in mind by focusing on the last mile…but it’s actually just the beginning.
AI Process Center turns institutional knowledge into automation. Team members simply walk through a workflow on screen and our system records it, identifies inefficiencies, optimizes it, and then feeds it directly to Relay to run automatically going forward.
Relay. Most tools just tell you there's a problem. Relay fixes it. Running 24/7 across every communication channel, Relay detects issues and immediately gets to work — filing claims, creating reshipments, responding to inbound inquiries, collecting documentation. For the exceptions that need a human, it comes ready with full context and suggested next steps so resolution happens faster.
Our product philosophy is to build AI that makes your team more powerful and scales with you.

Our customers span many industries, from grocery to pharma to automotive.
We support businesses that range in size from major multi-national organizations to beloved regional brands. They use BackOps to streamline high-volume shipments (think millions of package shipments every month), and complex shipments like perishable food, temperature-dependent pharmaceuticals, and fragile items.

We win when our customers win. Here’s how BackOps is transforming their logistics operations.
While these metrics might appear like record-setting outliers, these savings are typical for our customers.
Employees save 35-60% of time per day.
Logistics teams are used to firefighting – jumping between inboxes, portals, and spreadsheets – just to understand what's happening, let alone fix it. BackOps becomes the central classification system for every inbound issue, giving teams a single source of truth across carriers, customers, and vendors. From there, all downstream action, contacting carriers, updating customers, coordinating warehouses, is handled automatically. Employees stop chasing and start focusing on the escalations that actually need them.
Inquiry response times are 93% faster.
Faster responses = happier customers. An industrial manufacturer reduced the time spent on routine order inquiries from an average of 30 minutes less than 2 minutes. They also reported improved distributor satisfaction scores of 96%.
Customers are filing 100% of eligible claims.
Logistics operators typically file less than 20% of eligible carrier claims — leaving the majority of reimbursements for damages, spoilage, and temperature breaches uncollected. BackOps files 100%, automatically. For customers, that means millions in previously lost revenue coming back.
We’re supporting a world of industries and geographies.
True to the nature of logistics being a horizontal industry, we connect a lot of (literally) moving parts. We’re built to support multiple industries, company sizes, and locations. We’re hearing from customers across manufacturing, grocery, shipping, warehousing across the globe who want to partner with us.
We’re growing our team,
to support the influx of customer inquiries and our ambitious product roadmap. We are hiring across the org in engineering, sales, operations, marketing, and more. Check out our job board, we’d love to hear from you.
